Last night I cut my own hair. I'd been planning on doing it myself for a while, as it wasn't 'sitting right'. So armed with some rusty scissors and a fairly gung-ho attitude, I set about snipping. It went really well, I just cut what I wanted to remove. I was very impressed with the results - any differences in length leads to 'texture', and if it's not a recognised style, it's 'edgy'. I also had a go around the back with clippers, using a hand mirror and one on the wall. It was quite difficult to figure out which way to hold the razor, as the double reflection was very disorienting. Nevertheless, it worked a treat.
I've been told a few times that I can 'pull off anything', and that's probably the right attitude to have when cutting your own hair.
